The colors and paint are extremely unusual on this particular gourd. The body is done in an "Acrylic Suede" paint making this gourd stand out on its own. The main theme directs one to the "Pony" however, as we view the envelope we see the large symbol of life. A worrior kneeling, giving thanks to the spiritual ancestors for the victory shadowed by the sacred mountains. This gourd is a story in itself offering a variety of scenes, all of significance to tis gourds make-up. A beautiful rendition of the significance the Horse played in Native American life. The horse demonstrates to all the status of the owner: His wealth, power, spiritual significance, stature, strength, hunting, transportation and warfare. The topo is laced with real braided leather highlighted with wood beads and real feathers.
