The Freedom of Flight! A wonderful depiction of a favorite bird with two different renditions of this outstanding Bird.

This beautiful gourd stands 6-1/2" wide and 4-1/2" tall and is beautifully crafted with great detail and attention paid to both images. The first image portrays this great Eagle in flight with geometric designs within the body adopting geometric symbols that hold significant cultural meaning to Native Americans, often acting as a form of visual storytelling, encoding ancestral knowledge, clan affiliations, and spiritual connections into their artwork. The colors reveal traditional flavors of Southwest Indian design and culture. The obverse side shows the bust of an Eagle surrounded by geometrical designs as the bird errupts from the center of an earth-type symbol. Skillfully and beautifully crafted to reveal the bird as he readys for flight. Each side of the main figures are feathers etched and faceted to highlight each bird.
